Hi I’m Melissa Pylypchuk

I’m a leadership educator, executive coach, and facilitator who designs learning experiences that are practical, engaging, and grounded in the realities of people’s work and lives.

My approach to education is experiential, learner-centred, and constructivist. I don’t see learners as passive recipients of information. Instead, I create opportunities for people to connect new ideas with what they already know, draw meaning from their experiences, explore different perspectives, and actively shape their own learning.

I believe the most valuable learning happens when people feel respected, involved, and appropriately challenged. My programs balance evidence-informed concepts with practical tools, relatable examples, meaningful dialogue, reflection, and hands-on practice. I want participants to leave with more than new information—I want them to have greater awareness, useful skills, and the confidence to apply their learning to real conversations, decisions, relationships, and challenges.

Whether I’m designing a leadership development program, facilitating a workshop, teaching coaching competencies, or helping a team navigate a complex issue, I begin by considering the learners themselves: what they already bring, what matters within their context, and what will help them translate learning into meaningful action. I design experiences that encourage curiosity, participation, experimentation, and shared learning while remaining flexible and responsive to what emerges in the room.

I bring more than 20 years of experience in leadership development and professional coaching. I have worked with leaders, teams, and organizations across healthcare, education, government, technology, engineering, finance, media, and the nonprofit sector. My experience includes designing and delivering multi-session leadership programs, professional certificates, workshops, retreats, and customized learning experiences for emerging leaders through to senior executives.

I hold a Master of Arts in Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I am an International Coaching Federation Master Certified Coach (MCC), a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and hold the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization credential. My work is also informed by education and experience in emotional intelligence, team effectiveness, conflict resolution, facilitation, adult learning, and leadership assessment.

Across all my work, my goal is to create learning that is meaningful and continues to influence what people notice, how they think, the conversations they have, and the actions they take long after the formal learning experience has ended.

My personal and professional development soared! I grew excited to come to our sessions every week to share my achievements and wins.
Melissa is a very welcoming coach and makes you feel the safe place in the coaching relationship to speak openly and honestly.
